Stanger Industries was selected by the Metropolitan Community Col-leges to perform a major renovation of the HVAC system at Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City, MO. Stanger removed two 700 ton centrifugal chillers, all existing pumps and a 2-cell cooling tower. We then installed two 1000 ton Carrier centrifugal chillers, 2-cell Marley cooling tower and eight new pumps. In addition we modified the piping to provide primary – secondary pumping which included work in the main equipment room as well as each air handling unit location. All work was performed within an operational college building with no interruption of service. In addition, this was the first project in Kansas City to utilize a new 300 ton hydro crane for hoisting.Stanger Industries was selected by the Metropolitan Community Col-leges to perform a major renovation of the HVAC system at Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City, MO.
